29-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and has intensified into a Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL”. It is centered at about 680 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 160 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and 150 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea.

          According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining areas of Odisha coast (India) now lies over Northwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining areas of west Bengal and Odisha coasts (India) still persists. It may further intensify into a depression during next (24) hours.

 General caution

           Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

Advisory

          Under the influence of low pressure area, people should be awared domastic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
