BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL AFTERNOON OF THE 18th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Chin State. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) mph. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
