30-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Westwards. It is centered at about 765 Nautical miles West of Coco Island (Myanmar), 45 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai and 40 Nautical miles East-Northeast of Puducherry (India). The centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is 994 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 50 miles per hour. Weather is cloudy over the Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea.

Bay Inference

A low pressure area may form over the Bay of Bengal and its may further intensify into a depression. Monsoon will be weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

Rain Condition and Rainy Day 

Rain or thundershowers will be above normal in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, below normal in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and about normal in NayPyiTaw, Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Tanintharyi Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Kayah States.

Rainy days are expected about (4) to (6) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Mandalay, Magway, West Bago Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States and about (7) to (9) days in Upper Sagaing, East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
