29-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and has intensified into a Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL”. It is centered at about 680 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 160 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and 150 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea.

A Moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.2) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (4) miles east of Tada-U), latitude 21.81 °N, longitude 96.03 °E, depth (63) kilometers, about (15) miles south-southwest of Mandalay seismological observatory was recorded at (03)hr (16) min (35) sec M.S.T on 15th December, 2022.
