26-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and further intensified into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about 780 Nautical miles West of Coco Island(Myanmar), 430 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai(India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Central Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal.
EARTHQUAKE NEWS
A Moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.1) Richter Scale with its epicenter outside Myanmar (Andaman Islands, India Region), latitude 12.96°N, longitude 93.49°E, depth (10)kilometers, about (322)miles southwest of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (13)hr (48)min (46)sec M.S.T on 12th December, 2022.
