24-11-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, it is likely continue to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea, South Bay and Westcentral Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

EARTHQUAKE NEWS

A slight earthquake of magnitude (4.5) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (19) miles southwest of Phyu), latitude 18.35°N, longitude 96.18°E, depth (7)kilometers  about (102)miles north of Kaba-Aye seismological observatory was recorded at (14)hr (13)min (27)sec  M.S.T. on 17th January, 2018.
