Depression
According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Southwestwards and centered at about (720) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco–Island, (820) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (70) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee, (140) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Jaffna (Sri Lanka), (180) Nautical miles Southeast of Nagappattinam and (275) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai(India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of Depression, center pressure and wind
The Depression is located at Latitude (9.0) degree North and Longitude (82.3) degree East, centre pressure of Depression is (1004) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour at (05:30) hrs MST today.
During next (24) hrs forecast
The Depression is likely continue to move West-Southwestwards and will cross Sri Lanka near Trincomalee during next (12) hrs and reach to Comorin Area and neighbourhood during next (24) hours.

Due to the Depression, rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine States from today morning to next (24) hrs. Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
