Depression
According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal remained stationaryand centered at about (595) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco –Island, (695) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), (195) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Trincomalee(Sri Lanka), (250) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Nagappattinam and (275) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai(India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Depression is coded yellow stage.

The Depression is located at Latitude (10.3) degree North and Longitude (84.0) degree East, centre pressure of Depression is (1004) hPaand maximum wind speed near the center is (30-35) miles per hour at (12:30)hrs MST today.
During next (60) hrs forecast
Due to the Depressionlikely to recurve West-Southwestwards and it is likely tocross Sri Lanka coasts around (25.12.2022).

Due to the Depression, rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, AyeyarwadyRegions and Shan (Southand East), Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States from today noon to next (72) hrs. Squalls with moderate to rough sea are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
