Depression
According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over the Northwest and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved North- Northeast wards and weakened into a Depression over Northwest Bay of Bengal(close to Odisha Coast, India). It is centered at about (530) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco-Island, (520) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Pathein(Myanmar), (210) Nautical miles North-Northeast of Vishakhapatnam, (80)Nautical miles East-Northeast of Gopalpur, (20) Nautical miles Southeast of Puri and (40)Nautical miles South- Southwest of Paradip (India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of Depression, center pressure and wind
Depression is located at Latitude (19.7) degree North and Longitude (86.2) degree East, centre pressure of Depression is (1006) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (35) miles per hour at (17:30) hrs MST today.
During next (24) hrs forecast
The Depression is forecast to move North- Northeastwards and weaken into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area along Odisha Coast towards West Bengal coast, India around (6.12.21).
General caution
Due to the Depression, rain or thundershowers will be isolated to scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States during next (72) hrs and squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7– 9) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
