Deep Depression
According to the observations at (17:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about (570) Nautical miles Southwest of Coco Island, (690) Nautical miles Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (305) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Jaffna (Sri Lanka) and (375) Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai(India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Deep Depression is coded yellow stage.

The Deep Depression is located at Latitude (9.0) degree North and Longitude (85.1) degree East, centre pressure of Deep Depression is (1002) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (40) miles per hour at (17:30)hrs MST today.
During next (36) hrs forecast
It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm around tonight. It is likely to reach off North Tamilnadu-Puducherry and adjoining South Andhra Pradesh coasts (India) around (8.12.2022).
General caution
Due to the Deep Depression, rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States from tonight to during next (72) hrs. Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph. Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph.Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and (7-9) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

Due to the Deep Depression, people should be awared the rainfall with strong wind, thunderstorms, and domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships off and along Myanmar Coasts.
