Deep Depression
According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards and further intensified into a deep depression. It is centered at about 780 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island(Myanmar), 430 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1002 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35.
It does not intend to move towards Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Deep Depression is coded as yellow stage.
Forecast
It is likely to continue to move North-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm around 27-11.2024. Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move North-Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days.
Due to the Deep Depression, rain are likely to be isolated to scatted in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States from 28-11-2024 to 30-11-2024.
