Deep Depression
According to the observations at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Eastcentral Bay of Bengalhas moved Northwestwards and intensified into a Deep Depression. It is centered at about (330) Nautical miles West-Southwest ofHainggyigyun, (365) Nautical miles Southwest of Thandwe, (370) Nautical miles Southwest of Sittwe(Myanamar), (370) Nautical miles South of Sagar Island (India) and (430) Nautical miles South of Barisal(Bangladesh).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Deep Depression is coded yellow stage.

The Deep Depression is located at Latitude (15.5) degree North and Longitude (88.7) degree East, centre pressure of Deep Depression is (1004) hPaand maximum wind speed near the center is (40) miles per hour at (10:30)hrs MST today.
During next (72) hrs forecast
It is likely to move Northwestwards and intensify into a Cyclonic Storm over Central Bay of Bengal during next (12)hrs and then recurve to North-Northeastwards and will cross Bangladesh Coasts around (25.10.2022).

Due to the Deep Depression, likelihood of fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Magway, Yangon, AyeyarwadyRegions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States with regionally and isolated heavyfalls in some Regions and States from today noon to (26.10.2022). Frequently squall with rough to very rough seas will be experienced in Deltaic, off and along RakhineCoasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (50-55) mph. Occasionalsquall with rough seas will be experienced in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (40) mph.Wave height will be about (13-16) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coastand (9-12) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts.
