Deep Depression
According to the observations at (10:30)hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Northeast Bay and adjoining Eastcentral Bay of Bengal has moved westwards and intensified into a deep depression. It is centered at about (205) Nautical miles Southwest of Sittwe, (280) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Gwa, (300) Nautical miles Northwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (210) Nautical miles Southeast of Paradip and (280) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Gopalpur(India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the deep depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of deep depression, center pressure and wind
Deep depression is located at Latitude (18.4) degree North and Longitude (89.7) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (998) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (45) miles per hour at (10:30) hrs MST today.
During next (48) hrs forecast
The deep depression likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm during next (12)hrs and will move Westwards and cross near North Andhrapradesh - South Odisha Coasts(India) during next (48)hrs.
General caution
Due to the deep depression, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States with regionally heavyfalls to isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States during next (48)hrs comancing today morning. Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
