Deep Depression
According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved Northwards. It is centered at about 745 Nautical miles Southwest of CoCo Island (Myanmar), 355 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Chennai (India). The centre pressure of Deep Depression is 1001 hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is 35.
It does not intend to move towards Myanmar coasts at the present stage and therefore the Deep Depression is coded as yellow stage.
Forecast
It is likely to move North-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm today evening. Thereafter, it is likely to continue to move North-Northwestwards and may cross near Sri Lanka Coast and reach to Tamil Nadu (India) during next 2 days.
Due to the Deep Depression, rain are likely to be isolated to scatted in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States from 28-11-2024 to 30-11-2024.
