BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal still persists.Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 20th JULY, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in the whole country with regionally heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 -14)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Strong to vigorous monsoon.
