SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers has been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayah State, Fairly widespread in Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Yangon, (Eastern and Southern)Shan and Mon States and weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw and Sagaing Region and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, Chin State and (3°C) to (4°C) above November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Bago Regions, (Eastern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperature was (5°C) in Hakha. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Coco-Island (1.89)inches, Nyaunglaybin (1.54)inches, Myaungmya (1.14)inches, Madauk and Myeik (0.75)inch each.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Andaman Sea still persists. Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and Westcentral Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23thNOVEMBER, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayah State, scattered in Taninthayi Region, (Eastern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine and Mon States and isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin and Kayin States. Degree of certainly is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts. Surface winds speed in easterly winds may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 8)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon - Taninthayi Coasts and (4-6)feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.
