BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (06:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bangal and adjoining Odisha coast(India) still persists. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19thAugust, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and (Nothern and Southern)Shan State, widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions,Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30) to (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7-10)feet in along Myanmar Coast.
