BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 1st August, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Eastern Shan and Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw and (Northern and Southern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Rakhine State, widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Chin, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon -Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, along Mon - Taninthayi Coast and (5 - 7) feet in along Rakhine Coast.
