SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan State, widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Taninthayi Regions, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with regionally heavy falls in Mandalay and Bago Regions, isolated heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Kawthong (6.85)inches, Bhamo (4.57)inches, Nyaunglaybin (4.02)inches, Shwegyin (3.47)inches, Pyinoolwin (2.82) inches, Madauk (2.48)inches, Patheingyi (2.35)inches, Madaya (2.05)inches, Zaungtu (2.01)inches, Kyauktaw (1.93)inches, Paingkyone (1.88)inches, Muse and Taungtha (1.70)inches each, Moekok and Phyu (1.58) inches each.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th July, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Northern Shan, Chin and  Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30 - 35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 9) feet along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
