BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 23rd June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Mandalay and Magway Regions, widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Mon States. Degree of certainly is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6 - 8) feet in along Rakhine Coasts, about (7 - 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:  Continuation of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States.
