BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 17th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, fairly widespread in Magway, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah and Kayin States, widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Bago Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine, and Mon States with likelihood of regionally heavy falls in Rakhine State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States. Degree of certainly is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely attimes Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Seas will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8 - 10) feet in Deltaic and Rakhine Coasts and (4 - 6) feet in Gulf of Mottama and Mon - Taninthayi Coasts.
