BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 8th June, 2017: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Sagaing Region, Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region, (Eastern and Southern)Shan, Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread in Magway and Bago Regions, Rakhine and Kayin States, widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Mon State with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainly is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6 - 10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama and Mon-Taninthayi Coasts, about (4 - 6) feet in Rakhine Coast.
