22-12-2024: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Well Marked Low Pressure Area over Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Southwestwards and reach to Southwest Bay of Bengal(North Tamil Nadu and South Andhra Pradesh Coasts)India during 24-12-2024. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal partly and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region, Shan, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Taninthayi Region and isolated heavy falls in Yangon Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Myeik (5.95)inches, Launglon (5.28)inches, Dawei (3.39)inches, Yangon(Central) (3.03)inches, Kalay (2.91)inches, Falam (2.24) inches, Katha and Yangon (Mingaladon)  (1.89)inches each.  

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous in the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd July, 2015: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Bago and Yangon Regions, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional with rough sea will be experience at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon -Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in the Rakhine Coasts.
