SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Southern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States, (2°C) above January average temperature in Mon State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (0°C) in Hakha, (2°C) each in Heho and Ramthlo, (3°C) each in Putao and Thipaw, (5°C) each in Naungcho, Pinlaung, Loilin, Tiddim, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke.
BAY INFERENCE: According to the observation at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining South Bay of Bengal. Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd January, 2019: Light rain will be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-5) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Taninthayi Region.
