SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Southern Shan, Chin and Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions, Kayin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Paletwa (2.99)inches, Putao (2.04)inches, Maungdaw and Kyauktaw (1.97)inches each, Sittwe (1.54)inches, Phyarpon (1.42) inches, Myauk U (1.30)inches and Ann (1.02)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Southern Shan and Kayah States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3 - 7) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
