SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavy falls in Northern Shan State and isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kachin and Rakhine States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were Gwa (5.24)inches, Pinlaebu (5.04)inches, Lashio (4.30)inches, Pathein (4.09)inches, Mogaung (3.86)inches, Mogoke (3.78)inches, Kunlong (3.19)inches, Dawei (2.76)inches, Launglon (2.72) inches and Nyauntone (2.37)inches.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd September, 2018: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy falls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Northern Shan, Rakhine and Mon States.
