29-11-2024: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep Depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 670 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 200 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and 185 Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea.

 Cyclonic Storm

            According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the  Cyclonic Storm “TITLI” over  the Westcentral Bay of Bangal is centered at about (240)miles South-Southeast of Gopalpur and about (200) miles Southeast of Kalingapatinam (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm is coded yellow stage.

 Position of Cyclonic Storm, Center pressure and wind

             Cyclonic Storm is located at Latitude (15.5) degree North and Longitude (86.0) degree East, Centre pressure of depression is (996) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (50) miles per hour at (05:30)hrs M.S.T.

During next (12)hrs Forecast

            It is forecast to move Northwestwards and it may further intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm “TITLI” during next (12) hours.

General caution

                 Due to the Cyclonic Storm, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, Kachin, Shan, Chin and Rakhine States with isolated to regionally heavy falls within next (72)hrs.

 Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate to rough elsewhere in Myanmar waters.Wave height will be about (9 - 12) feet Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts and about (6-9)feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
