Cyclonic Storm Condition
According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “MIDHILI” over Northwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northeastwards now lies over Northwest Bay and adjoining Northeast Bay of Bengal. It is centered at about (220) Nautical miles West- Northwest of Sittwe, (185) Nautical miles West of Maungdaw, (Myanmar), (145) Nautical miles East-Northeast of Paradip, (100) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Digha (India) and (90) Nautical miles Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh).
As it is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm “MIDHILI”is coded as yellow stage.

The Cyclonic Storm “MIDHILI”is located at Latitude (20.1) degree North and Longitude (89.1) degree East, its centre pressure of Deep Depression is (1002) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (40-45) miles per hour at (12:30) hrs MST today.
During next (18) hrs forecast
The Cyclonic Storm “MIDHILI” is likely continue to move North-Northeastwards and may cross Bangladesh coast near Khepupara during next (18)hrs.
General caution
Due to the Cyclonic Storm “MIDHILI”, rain or thundershowers will be isolated to scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Kayah States and fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States with isolated heavy falls in some Regions and States from today noon to (18.11.2023).
Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12)feet off and along Rakhine Coast from today noon to (18.11.2023).
