Cyclonic Storm
According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm "FANI" over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining the Equatorial Indian Ocean remain practically stationary. It is centered at about (405) miles East-Southeast of Trincomalee (Sri-Lanka), (570)miles Southeast of Chennai (India) and (660)miles South-Southeast of Machilipatnam. It is forecast to move Northwestwards. Weather is a few cloud over the North and East central Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere in the Bay of Bengal.
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm is coded yellow stage.

It is forecast to further intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Storm "FANI" during next (12)hrs and a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm "FANI" during next (36)hrs. It is forecast to move Northwestwards and then recurve Northeastwards during next (72)hours.
