23-11-2024: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area has formed over East Equatorial India Ocean and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression over South Bay of Bengal around 25-11-2024. Thereafter, its likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu(India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

          The water levels may rise above the present water level by about (3-5) feet at Myitkyina, Bhamo, Shwegu and Katha, may fall below the present water level by about (4-6) feet at Thabeikkyin, Mandalay, Sagaing, Myinmu, Pakokku and NyaungOo, about (2-4) feet at Chauk, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan and Pyay, and may rise above the present water level by about (4-6) feet at Seiktha, Hinthada and Zalunof Ayeyarwady River.

            The water levels may rise above the present water level by about (1-3) feetat Hkamti, Homalin, Phaungpyin, Mawlaik, Kalewa, Minkin, Kani and Monywa of Chindwin River.

          The water levels may rise above the present water level by about about (1) foot at Kalay of Myittha River, about (½-1) foot at Hsipaw, Shwesayan and Myitnge of Dokhtawady River, about (2) feet at Bago of Bago River, about (1-3) feet at Hpasawng and Hpaan of Thanlwin River, about (½) foot at Myawaddy of Thaungyin River, about (2-3) feet at Ngathaingchaung,Thabaung and Pathein of Ngawun River, about  (2½) feet at Maubin of Toe River, about (2) feet at Bilin of Bilin River, and may fall below the present water level by about (½) foot at Taungoo and Madauk of Sittaung River, about (½) foot at Shwegyin of Shwegyin River, about (½) foot at Zaungtu of Bago River, about (½) foot at Paletwa and Kyauktaw of Kaletan River and about (1) foot at Myauk U of Laymyo River.
