SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Southern Shan State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin State and isolated heavyfalls in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.76) inches in Dawei, (3.74) inches in Kyeikkhame, (3.34) inches each in Khayan and Kawkareik, (3.24) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (2.68) inches in Gwa, (2.60) inches in Mudon, (2.56) inches in Launglon and (2.44) inches each in Thaton, Ye and Kyeikmayaw.

BAY INFERENCE:  Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Doksuri” over the South China Sea has crossed Fujian, China.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th July, 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Magway Region, sacttered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8.-11) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 29thJuly, 2023:      Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and widespread in Yangon Region.
