SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Taninthayi Regions, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Rakhine State and widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin and Chin States. Night temperatures were (8°C) below November average temperature in Northern Shan State, (5°C) below November average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (3°C) below November average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Ayeyarwady Regions, Kayah State, (2°C) below November average temperatures in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Southern Shan and Kayin States and about November average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (8°C) each in Loilin and Mongyang, (9°C) in Namsam. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were Maungdaw (0.75)inch, Paletwa and Pinlaebu (0.43)inch each and Tiddim (0.39)inch.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the Southwest Bay and partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (13:30) MST today, the tropical depression over the South Chin Sea, its centered at about (170)miles South-Southeast  of  Can Tho( Vietnam) and it is forecast to move Westwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd NOVEMBER, 2017: Weather will be partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon and Ayeyarwady Regions, Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States. Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States. Degree of certainly is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 - 6) feet in along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Shan State.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 2ndNOVEMBER, 2017: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainly is (60%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 2nd NOVEMBER, 2017:  Partly cloudy.
