25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

A Moderate earthquake of magnitude (5.0) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (30) miles southeast of Mongping), latitude 21.14 °N, longitude 99.43 °E, depth (29) kilometers, about (14) miles southwest of Keng Tung seismological observatory was recorded at (23) hr (16) min (51) sec M.S.T on 30th June, 2023.
