SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway and Taninthayi Regions, scattered in Mandalay Region and (North and South)Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Yangon Region and Kachin, Rakhine States. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.25) inches in Central Yangon, (3.78) inches in Maungdaw, (3.23) inches in Chi Pwi, (2.84) inches each in Kyaukpyu and Kyeikkhame, (2.72) inches in Gwa, (2.48) inches in Sittwe, (2.13) inches in Thandwe, (1.82) inches in Pon Na Gyun, (1.77) inches in Myitkyina, (1.75) inches in Bu Thi Daung and (1.73) inches in Hkamti.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st June, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing and Magway Regions, scattered in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States.
