Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN)
According to the observations at (09:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm (AMPHAN) over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about (530)Nautical miles South-Southwest of Paradadip(Odisha-India), about (615) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha(india), about (675) Nautical miles Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh), about (460)Nautical miles Southwest of Coco-Island and about (605) Nautical miles Southwest of Pathein (Myanmar).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN) is coded yellow stage.

Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN) is located at Latitude (11.4) degree North and Longitude (86.0) degree East, centre pressure of depression is (992) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (55)miles per hour at (09:30) hrs MST today.

The Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN) likely to intensify into a Severe Cyclonic Strom during next (6)hrs and Very Severe Cyclonic Storm at (18.5.2020). It is forecast to re-curve North-Northeastwards.
General caution
Due to the Cyclonic Storm(AMPHAN), rain or thundershowers will be scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady and Thanintharyi Regions, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States from (17.5.2020) to (21.5.2020).
Occasional squalls with rough to very rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-12) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
