Severe Cyclonic Storm “Asani”
According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “Asani” over West Central Bay of Bangal has moved West-Northwestwards and iscentered at about (135) Nautical miles Southeast of Kakinada, (155) Nautical miles South of Vishakhapatnam, (260) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Gopalpur, (310) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Puri(India), (575) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Coco-Island and (630) Nautical miles Westof Hainggyigyun(Myanmar).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Severe Cyclonic Storm “Asani” is coded yellow stage.

Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (9-11) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast and (6-9) feet Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast.
