SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Yangon Region and Eastern Shan State. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below December average temperature in Chin State and (2°C) above December average temperatures in Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin States, (5°C) above December average temperature in Naypyitaw and about December average temperatures in the Upper Sagaing, Magway, Taninthayi Regions. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha, (5°C) in Tiddim, (6°C) in Falam and (8°C) in Putao.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay, partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th December 2023: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
