30-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “FENGAL” over the Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved North-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 695 Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), 115 Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai and 110 Nautical miles East of Puducherry (India). Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea.

Severe Cyclonic Storm Condition

According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” over Westcentral Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal off South Andhra Pradesh and adjoining North Tamil Nadu coasts has moved Northwestwards. It is centered at about (740) Nautical miles West of Coco Island, (805) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (45) Nautical miles Northeast of Chennai, (60) Nautical miles Southeast of Nellore, (135) Nautical miles South of Bapatla and (150) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Machilipatnam (India).

It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” is coded yellow stage.

Cyclonic Storm MICHAUNG is located at Latitude (13.7) degree North and Longitude (80.7) degree East, centre pressure of Cyclonic Storm is (994)hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (55-60) miles per hour at (17:30) hrs MST today.

During next (36) hrs forecast

Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” is likely to move nearly Northwards almost parallel to South Andhra Pradesh coast and cross South Andhra Pradesh coast between Nellore and Machilipatnam, close to Bapatla, India on (5.12.2023).

Due to the Severe Cyclonic Storm “MICHAUNG” people should be aware rain or thundershowers with strong wind and domestic flight, trawlers, vessels and ships in off and along Myanmar Coasts.
