SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Mandalay Region, scattered in Lower Sagaing Region and Southern Shan State, isolated in Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above December average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Bago Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Chin, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above December average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State, (5°C) above December average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State and (7°C) above December average temperature in Southern Shan State and about December average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (3°C) in Hakha, (9°C) in Tiddim, (10°C) in Tongzan and (11°C) in Putao. The noteworthy amount of rainfalls recorded were (0.31) inch in Kawthaung and (0.08) inch each in Madaya and Myauk U.
BAY INFERENCE : According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the deep depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about (610) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Coco Island, (705) Nautical miles West- Southwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (235) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry, (240) Nautical miles Southeast of Chennai, (305) Nautical miles South- Southeast of Nellore and (355) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Machilipatnam (India). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and North Bay of Bengal and cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rd December 2023: Light rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
