Depression
According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the depression over Southeast Bay and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about (760) Nautical miles West of Kawthaung, (525) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Coco Island (Myanmar), (375) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Puducherry, (380) Nautical miles East-Southeast of Chennai, (445) Nautical miles Southeast of Nellore and (480) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Machilipatnam (India).
It is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, the present stage of the Depression is coded yellow stage.
Position of Depression, center pressure and wind
The Depression is located at Latitude (9.6) degree North and Longitude (85.7) degree East, centre pressure of Deep Depression is (1000)hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (30) miles per hour at (17:30) hrs MST today.
During next (96) hrs forecast
The Depression is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Deep Depression on (2.12.2023) and Cyclonic Storm over Southwest Bay of Bengal on (3.12.2023). Thereafter, it may move Northwestwards and reach near South Andhra Pradesh and adjoining North Tamil Nadu coasts, India on (4.12.2023). Thereafter, it may move nearly Northwards almost parallel to South Andhra Pradesh coast and cross Andhra Pradesh between Nellore and Machilipatnam, India on (5.12.2023).
