BAY INFERENCE According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Malacca Strait moved Westwards and now lies over South Andaman Sea. It may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area on (29.11.2023) and likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on (30.11.2023). Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm on (2.12.2023). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 29th November 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and (3-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State.
