BAY INFERENCE According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Malacca Strait moved Westwards and now lies over South Andaman Sea. It may further intensify into a Well Marked Low Pressure Area on (29.11.2023) and likely to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on (30.11.2023). Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may further intensify into a Cyclonic Storm on (2.12.2023). Weather is a few cloud over the North Bay of Bengal and to partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 29th November 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Taninthayi Region and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and (3-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Slight decrease of night temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State.
