BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Deep depression over Westcentral Bay of Bengal has moved continue North-Northeastwards. It is centered at about (335) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Sittwe, (320) Nautical miles West-Southwest of Maungdaw, (Myanmar), (140) Nautical miles South-Southeast of Paradip, (210) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Digha (India) and (280) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Khepupara (Bangladesh). Weather is cloudy over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 17th November 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Shan States, scattered in Taninthayi Region and Kayah State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times in off and along Rakhine Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in off and along Rakhine Coast and and (5-8) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
