Cyclonic Storm “HAMOON” Condition
According to the observations at (03:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Severe Cyclonic Storm “HAMOON” over the Northeast Bay has moved Northeastwards and weakened into a Cyclonic Storm “HAMOON”. It is crossing Bangladesh coast close to the South of Chittagong.
The present stage of the Cyclonic Storm “HAMOON” is coded yellow stage. Although it is not moving towards Myanmar coasts, Chin and Nothern Rakhine States, Myanmar will be affected due to the banding features of the Cyclonic Storm “HAMOON”.

Cyclonic storm “HAMOON” is located at Latitude (21.9) degree North and Longitude (91.9) degree East, centre pressure of Cyclonic storm “HAMOON” is (996) hPa and maximum wind speed near the center is (45-50) miles per hour at (03:30) hrs MST today.

Cyclonic storm “HAMOON” is likely continue to move Northeastwards and cross Bangladesh and Mizoram, India. Therafter, it is likely forecast to move continuously Northeastwards and weaken as a Land Depression in Mizoram, India and Well Marked Low Pressure Area in the border of Chin State, Myanmar.
General caution
Due to the Cyclonic storm “HAMOON”, rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States, scattered to fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Eastern Shan State with regionally and isolated heavyfalls in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States. Occasionally squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Rakhine Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-12) feet in off and along Rakhine Coast from commencing today morning to (26.10.2023).
