BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (15:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over Southeast Bay and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely initially to move Northwestwards and further intensify into a depression over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal on (22.10.2023). Thereafter, it is likely forecast to move North-Northeastwards towards Bangladesh coast and adjoining West Bengal coast, India and further intensify on (25.10.2023). Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and (Southern and Eastern) Shan states, scattered in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Mon State, isolated in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather has been partly cloudy the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
