SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions, scattered in Kachin, Eastern Shan, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Saging, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.15) inches in Launglon, (2.00) inches in Thabaung, (1.92) inches in Homalin, (1.85) inches each in Hlaingbwe and Kyeikkhame, (1.66) inches in Kawthaung, (1.50) inches in Mudon, (1.30) inches in Kyeikmayaw and (1.27) inches in Taunggyi.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Typhoon “Koniu” over the South China Sea may continue to move Westwards.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 06th October 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Yangon Region and Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
