BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the Low Pressure Cell over the South China Sea is expected to reach Vietnam tonight.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 26th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and Northern Shan, Chin states and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Magway and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
