BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (17:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to become more marked and move across south Odisha coast (India) during next (36) hours. Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 14th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kayah State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
