22-10-2024: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Depression over Eastcentral Bay has moved West-Northwestwards. It is centered at about 210 Nautical miles West of Hainggyigyun(Myanmar), 390 Nautical miles South-Southeast of Sagar Island West Bengal (India). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea, North Bay, Eastcentral Bay and Southwest Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE 09th September 2023: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at time off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
