A slight earthquake of magnitude (3.9) Richter Scale with its epicenter inside Myanmar (about (3) miles north-northwest of Myanaung), latitude 18.34°N, longitude 95.31°E, depth (10) kilometers, about (33) miles south-southeast of Pyay seismological observatory was recorded at (23)hr (42)min (28)sec M.S.T on 5th July, 2023.
25-11-2024: According to the observations at (05:30) hrs M.S.T today, the well marked low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining East Equatorial Indian Ocean has moved West-Northwestwards and now lies over South Bay of Bengal. It is likely continue to move West-Northwestwards and may further intensify into a depression during next 12 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move Northwestwards and may reach to Tamil Nadu (India)-Sri Lanka coasts during next 2 days. Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
